Gratification

Reward and pecuniary reward of a beingvice o merit extraordinary, the concept has importance in Law School Employment, since gratification represents a crafts of remuneration that the employer provides above the wage and title of exceptional reward or remuneration, whether he does so voluntarily or by virtue of practice established. There has been doctrinal and jurisprudential discussion about the legal nature of gratuity; that is, whether it crafts part of the wage or not. The most common tendency is to consider that, if that liberality employer is exceptional, it does not have a salary nature nor does it cause derechos at the request of the lockjador; but if it is habitual and repeated, it is considered normal remuneration, payable by its beneficiary and computable to all effects (dismissal, advance notice, salary complementary, vacation) to determine the derechos of the employee. Gratification should not be confused with tip (v.).
